LE DUFF Group has made the development of its industrial division, which includes BRIDOR (premium bakery-Viennese pastry) and GOURMING (traditional vegetables and ready meals), a major strategic focus. To address the strong global demand for qualitative products, the Group highlights several key acquisitions made between 2022 and 2024:
- FRIAL (Normandy, France): As LE DUFF Group wishes to consolidate its presence on the premium frozen vegetables & ready meals segment, it announced the takeover of FRIAL in 2022.
- LECOQ CUISINE (USA): In July 2022, the Group purchased LECOQ Cuisine, one of North America’s leaders on the bakery, Viennese pastry and pastry segment.
- PANIDOR (Portugal): The takeover of LECOQ Cuisine was followed in September 2022 by that of PANIDOR, a family-run Portuguese company specialising in making traditional frozen bakery and pastry products. Thanks to this acquisition, Southern Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, Africa and South America are now provisioned via the port of Lisbon.
- PANDRIKS (Germany, The Netherlands): Finally, in April 2024, the Group announced the takeover of PANDRIKS, a company that makes traditionally inspired, organic bakery products, which has enabled it to meet the ever-growing European demand.
2025: A year of strategic investments and targeted acquisitions for BRIDOR
LE DUFF Group is pursuing its growth drive this year and has made a number of important announcements:
- In France: on Wednesday 23 April, the Group announced a strategic investment of €100 million in Normandy, which will create 150 jobs over the long term. This project, supported by the Normandy Region and Pays de Falaise Normandie, plans to convert the FRIAL-operated Falaise site and turn it into a new BRIDOR production site. This transformation is totally in line with the high-growth situation enjoyed by BRIDOR products, which promote French know-how and excellence. This reorganisation also addresses FRIAL’s wish, which is continuing to expand significantly from its two other sites in Bayeux.
- In the USA: in addition to the opening of a new production site in Salt Lake City at the start of 2026, the Group has announced the opening of a second site in Dallas (2027), which will serve the South American market and boost the Group’s presence across the American region. At the same time, Bridor’s current production site near Philadelphia (Vineland) doubled its production capacity.
- In Australia & New Zealand: this month, the Group announced that LAURENT Bakery (€100 million of turnover, 500 employees, 2 plants), founded by chef Laurent Boillon, a leading name in bakery and Viennese pastries, has joined BRIDOR, strengthening its presence in Asia-Pacific.
“BRIDOR is pursuing its development strategy and is strengthening its leadership positions on the key North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific markets. These investments illustrate our desire to continue to innovate to meet our customer expectations across the globe”, emphasises Philippe Morin, CEO of BRIDOR.
