Pots & Co launch new puddings in lava cakes range

Pots & Co have announced an exciting branch out into hot puddings with the launch of their new Lava Cakes range. The range features puds with an indulgent molten centre that bubbles and oozes up through the middle of the pot when heated. Classic flavours feature prominently in the volcanic desserts: Hot Chocolate & Salted Caramel is a luxurious chocolate cake with a sweet salted caramel core and Hot Butterscotch isa modern take on a sticky date pudding with a rich butterscotch centre.

Whilst the current line-up of puddings by the premium brand are baked in their signature colourful ceramic pots sourced from Valencia, the Lava Cakes come in terracotta pots for a more artisanal look and feel for easy re-use at home. The baking process takes place in the pots to give the entire range a unique depth of flavour. These flavours are perfected by recipes from top restaurant chefs in the Pots & Co London kitchen. This is why only the finest ingredients are used throughout the range, without any preservatives or additives added.

Founder Julian Dyer said of the new Lava Cakes: “Our founding principle was to create proper puddings to enjoy at home, taking our reference from classic flavours we know people love. Classic puddings invoke nostalgia and comfort, like the traditional sticky toffee and warm chocolate puddings. We’ve reinvented these with a pinch of Pots & Co flair, imagining these with a molten sauce erupting over the cake, and adding in exciting twists on flavour with salted caramel and dates. There was no choice for us on when to launch the new range – these puddings are the ultimate winter treat for our consumers.”

Pots & Co’s Lava Cakes go into stores on November 20 exclusively in Sainsburys. The company has sold over 20 million pots already in 2019, supplying both UK supermarkets and a major airline with their range of chilled puddings, including the classic ceramic pots, lighter-calorie range and little pots perfect for sharing.
