Dawn Foods, bakery manufacturer and distributor, is launching a new cake mix, the Dawn Yogurt Cake Mix, and a new flavouring paste, Dawn Exceptional® Yuzu Compound, as part of their Total Cake Solutions concept.
Dawn’s Total Cake Solutions concept has been developed for bakers across all channels and features exciting new recipe inspiration from across Europe, trends and insights on cake consumption, along with expert advice on maximising cakes sales.
Dawn has a broad portfolio of cake ingredients and solutions that meet the diverse and ever-changing tastes of consumers. Whether it is a light and airy sponge cake, or a soft and fluffy cake, the range offers solutions from mix to concentrate to meet bakers needs and requirements. With new innovative variants such as vegan, also growing market demands for vegan sweet bakes are easily addressed. The assortment of fillings and decorations completes the range and provides bakers with endless cake variety.
New addition to the range of Cake Mixes
The new Dawn Yogurt Cake Mix delivers cakes with a tender and fluffy texture, barely sweet and with a hint of yogurt flavour. Like most of the mixes in the range, it is versatile, holding inclusions well and can be used to make a variety of bakes and shapes, from loaf cakes to muffins, and from Bundt cakes to traybakes. The subtle yogurt flavour can easily be paired with other flavours, like lemon or raspberry. A delicate treat, perfectly suited for any occasion: dessert, breakfast or with an afternoon cup of tea or coffee.

New Yuzu flavoured Compound
To further enhance the Total Cake Solutions concept and to help bakers take their recipes from ordinary to extraordinary, Dawn is launching a new flavouring paste: Dawn Exceptional® Compound Yuzu. The taste of the Asian yuzu can be described as a blend of a lemon and a grapefruit but it is more complex with distinct herbal and floral notes along with its acidity.
