Joseph Clarke - International Bakery

A linguist and lover of modern languages, Joseph began his career in education, working as an English as a Second Language teacher in Both Spain and Ecuador. After several years working in this industry, Joseph was commissioned to write educational materials for Oxford University Press (OUP) which is when he started to really realise his passion for writing.

Having published his first writing works with both OUP and Lonely Planet, Joseph decided to pursue a more full-time career in writing, combining this with one of his personal interests and hobbies – cooking and baking. Joseph became the Editor of International Bakery and enjoys attending the top international industry events, meeting experts and getting to grips with the latest innovations. 

Joseph curates, writes and edits all the content for both the printed and digital versions of International Bakery magazine, as well as overseeing all of the external content, collaborations and partnerships for the portfolio. As Editor, Joseph connects and organises interviews with top bakery manufacturers and producers; and organises and leads the brand’s virtual event – Bakery Live.
