Joanne Burns - Reformulation for Health Manager, Food and Drink Federation Scotland

Joanne has over 20 years of experience in the food and health industry. Since 2019, she has led the Reformulation for Health programme, positioning it as a go-to support for Scotland’s food and drink sector. Funded by the Scottish Government and hosted by the Food and Drink Federation, the programme provides free reformulation support to Scottish SMEs aiming to improve the health profile of everyday products.

Joanne is a strong champion of the bakery industry, working closely with multiple bakers in Scotland to help grow their businesses through reformulation. She has also been a key influencer in developing financial support for this cause, developing the Healthier Bakery Fund with Food Standards Scotland, and developing free resources to help upskill the industry.
