The International Bakery Awards is proud to announce that Andrew Pyne, Chief Executive of the Federation of Bakers, will be joining the judging panel for this year’s prestigious event.
With decades of experience in communications and leadership across the food and drink sector, Andrew brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the baking industry to the judging panel. Since April 2022, he has led the Federation of Bakers, representing the interests of the UK’s large-scale bread baking businesses. Under his stewardship, the organisation has continued to support innovation, quality, and sustainability within the baking sector.
“We are honoured to welcome Andrew to the judging panel,” said Joseph Clarke, Editor of International Bakery. “His expertise, industry knowledge, and strategic insight will be instrumental in recognising and celebrating excellence within the bakery world.”
Prior to his role at the Federation of Bakers, Andrew held senior corporate affairs, EU public affairs, and communications roles at Nestlé Cereals. He also contributed to the Food and Drink Federation in a variety of strategic capacities and led his own corporate communications consultancy, offering guidance on reputation management, media relations, and executive counsel.
Further underlining his industry credentials, Andrew was elected to the board of the International Association of Plant Bakers (AIBI) in June 2022, expanding his influence across the international baking community.
The International Bakery Awards celebrate innovation, craftsmanship, and outstanding achievements across the global baking sector. With the addition of Andrew Pyne to the judging panel, the awards are set to continue their tradition of excellence in recognising the best the industry has to offer.
