Bakels Senior welcome new General Manager

After a successful 25-year career at Bakels, Managing Director in the Netherlands, Ronald Menting, will soon enter a new phase of his life and will pass the baton onto new General Manager, Roderik de Harder on 1st March.

As Managing Director of Bakels Senior NV, Ronald was the driving force behind the company’s growth, with his vision, leadership, and dedication proving invaluable. Under his leadership, Bakels, among other achievements, moved into its new state-of-the-art facility in Zeewolde. Additionally, his efforts have contributed to Bakels significantly strengthening its position as an international bakery ingredients producer, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.

His strategic insight and human approach have not only contributed to business success, but also to a warm and involved company culture.

Roderik de Harder, is no stranger to Bakels, as he once interned in the company’s Baking Centre as the “youngest employee.” With a great interest in the (international) bakery industry, particularly the combination of R&D and Business Development, Roderik has spent the past 25 years advancing into various leadership roles in Sales and R&D at leading international bakery ingredient companies.

Themes such as innovation, market development, and growth are close to his heart and will serve him well in his new challenge.

“I am honored to succeed Ronald Menting and look forward to working with the team to continue building on innovation, growth, and the success of Bakels,” says Roderik. “My goal is to continue what Ronald has built while creating new opportunities to take the organisation to the next level.”
