French bakery manufacturer, Bridor, has released the first user guide on its iconic product, the Bun ‘n’ Roll. An 85g spiral-shaped bun made from Bridor’s famous croissant dough, the Bun ‘n’ Roll can be used as a base for dozens of different recipes, including sweet and savoury dishes. The pastries come ready-to-bake and are sold in boxes of 50.
Bridor has created the guide in order to provide caterers with resources that will help to boost sales and maximise the impression of the Bun ‘n’ Roll among consumers. Amongst other things, the white paper includes:
• An analysis of the market and current trends including the ‘New York Roll’ and burgers
• Expert advice and tips from the Bridor Bakery Cultures Club expert chefs for creating burgers that are both delicious and memorable.
• 13 exclusive recipes
The Bun ‘n’ Roll capitalises on current trends in both sweet pastries and burgers and allows foodservice providers to meet consumer demands effectively and deliciously. Burgers are more popular than ever, and consumers are increasingly interested in the choice of bread that is available. Bridor’s research found that 75% of European consumers surveyed like to try original burger recipes[1] and using the unique flavour, texture and appearance of the Bun ‘n’ Roll will entice these customers looking to try something new.
Additionally, the Bun ‘n’ Roll can be baked between two trays to create a ‘New York Roll’, an on-trend, flat, circular croissant that is often embellished with a sweet filling and intricately decorated. Providing the consumer with a gourmet experience in every mouthful, these pastries are visually appealing and are instantly recognisable and desirable across the globe.
Bridor’s Northern European Sales Director, Erwan Inizan, said: “This white paper is a fantastic way for bakeries, restaurants and other out-of-home providers to be inspired to include the Bun ‘n’ Roll in their offering. The recipes included have been crafted by expert bakers and Bridor’s in-depth research provides tips and tricks that are certain to help make the Bun ‘n’ Roll shine on a menu or pastry counter”.
