Carr’s Flour Mills joins Federation of Bakers

The Federation of Bakers (FOB) has announced it has welcomed Carr’s Flour Mills as a new associate member. Carr’s Flour Mills have been making flour for nearly 200 years. They run three mills based in Kirkcaldy (Fife), Silloth (Cumbria) and Maldon (Essex) which supply bakeries and food manufacturers across the United Kingdom.

Allan Burns, Sales and Marketing Director at Carr’s commented: “We are very pleased to join the Federation of Bakers and look forward to working closely with the federation.”

Gordon Polson, Chief Executive of the Federation of Bakers, added: “We are delighted to welcome Carr’s Flour Mills as an associate member of our organisation and look forward to working together as they continue to expand their business”.

The Federation of Bakers Ltd represents UK bakeries who supply the nation’s bread and morning goods and other bread products. With eight member companies running 25 bakeries in the United Kingdom and supplying the majority of the bread consumed in the UK FOB members include Delifrance UK, Fine Lady Bakeries, Geary’s Bakeries, Irwin’s Bakery, Jacksons Bakery, Kerry Ingredients, Frank Roberts & Sons and Warburtons.
