To celebrate World Muffin Day, Europastry and Nestlé Professional—the Nestlé division dedicated to marketing food and beverages for the hospitality sector—announce the launch of the new Muffin Lion.
This delicious muffin combines Europastry’s tulip dough with the creamy Lion filling, one of Nestlé’s most irresistible brands, thanks to its combination of crunchy biscuit, smooth caramel, and exquisite milk chocolate.
Europastry, the Spanish company in frozen bakery dough, continues to bet on innovation in its products and strengthens its relationship with Nestlé, with whom it has developed other successful launches since 2020, such as KITKAT PopDots.
The new Muffin Lion will be available through two channels: foodservice (bulk) and retail (2-pack). In the foodservice channel, the muffin will feature a special design that highlights the brand, making it ideal for sale in bakeries and hotels, where these types of products enjoy great popularity.
The Growing Pastry Sector
According to the latest report from the Spanish Association of the Bakery, Pastry, and Confectionery Industry (ASEMAC), pastry and bakery production increased by 7% in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching a total production of 218,216 tons.
This growth reflects the rising demand for pastry products in the Spanish market, where consumers seek diverse and high-quality options. In this context, Muffin Lion represents a perfect alternative for establishments looking to offer an innovative and appealing product to their customers. This new muffin will be available starting this month through major Horeca and retail distributors.
Hotels, cafés, and restaurants will benefit from this launch, as its bulk format facilitates handling and presentation. Additionally, the collaboration between Europastry, a leader in frozen bakery dough, and the renowned Nestlé brand adds extra value, attracting both loyal customers and new consumers looking for a treat.
