The iba trade fair in Düsseldorf was a success story: 985 exhibitors from 46 countries showcased their innovations and highlights. A total of 49,115 visitors streamed through the halls from May 18-22, 2025. Austrian bakery machine manufacturer Koenig was also very satisfied with the trade fair. The Graz-based company won the highly contested “iba Award” in the “Refurbishment” category at iba, the world’s leading trade fair for the bakery industry.
IBA AWARD WINNER
For the seventh time, the trade magazine Backtechnik Europe, the official organ of the German Baking Association (VDB) and the European Association of Industrial Bakers (AIBI), presented the iba Awards. The coveted award goes to exhibitors who present particularly pioneering new products, innovative concepts or solutions for the bakery trade.
This year, the Graz-based machine manufacturer Koenig received the coveted iba Award for the Industrie Rex AW EC dough dividing and rounding machine. This machine is in Koenig’s “Easy Clean” design and thus stands for incomparably easy cleaning combined with an enormous output of up to 50,400 pieces of dough per hour.
“Winning the iba Award recognises our commitment to the highest hygiene standards in the bakery industry – an easy-to-clean machine is not an extra for us, but a promise to our customers,” says Global Sales Director Norbert Hübler.
