Baker & Baker has launched the ‘Cocoa Orange Boomie’, a limited edition doughnut for the UK market. The new ‘Boomie’ doughnut has been launched to capitalise on current market trends in the UK, the company has said, where shoppers are looking for eye-catching baked goods that also deliver on taste.
The Cocoa Orange Boomie has been manufactured with a ‘twist’ to capture consumer attention. It features a dark cocoa filling, covered in orange flavoured icing and dark cocoa icing waves.
The new doughnut has been manufactured with a good look, flavour combination anda a 12pt filling instead of the usual single filling point seen in traditional ball doughnuts. The doughnut has been produced with certified palm oil and with no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.
A single box contains 48 frozen Boomies with a weight of 77g each. They can be thawed at room temperature and served.
“The Boomies launch is a good example of how we respond to consumer trends with innovative products under the indulgence claim,” said Helen Sinclair, UK Marketing Manager at Baker & Baker. “New quality products are an important part of how we are helping our customers to maintain sales during the current challenging market conditions.”
The Cocoa & Orange Boomie will be available in the UK from September to enable food service operators, bakeries and retail customers capitalise on Halloween. This follows on from a launch in Europe, initially Germany, before it was rolled out in France and Spain.
