The Handtmann Filling and Portioning Systems division, part of the diversified Handtmann Group headquartered in Biberach, Upper Swabia, is advancing its ambitious positioning as a values-based global market leader in comprehensive production solutions. In this context, the division has been renamed from Handtmann Filling and Portioning Systems to Handtmann Processing. The new name reflects both the current actions and the vision of the division. With the motto “Leading in Processing,” the focus on sustainable comprehensive solutions is emphasised, while the slogan “Connecting Orange” emphasises global, collaborative, and synergistic partnerships in the market.
As part of this initiative, the leadership structure was reorganised effective March 1st. The executive management, comprised of CEO/CSO Harald Suchanka and CTO/COO Dr. Mark Betzold, will now be supported by a management team with four Vice Presidents. Martin Staudenrausch is responsible for Global Technology, while Romina Müller, as Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, oversees international market operations. The team is completed by Stefan Rampf, who handles Global Finance & Controlling, and Ralf Jedrysiak, who is in charge of Global Supply Chain Management. The global production facilities will continue to be led by Dr. Mark Betzold.
Harald Suchanka on the creation of the new leadership level: “The strong organic and inorganic division growth over the past years has necessitated the establishment of cross-location and cross-responsibility roles within the executive management. Our aim is to further develop and expand the structures and processes both within the individual organisational units and holistically. We are striving for focused global corporate governance in key business areas.” Dr. Mark Betzold adds, “With the new management board, we are not only increasing efficiencies and unlocking new potential but also create structures for the necessary transparency to make performance measurable. The new controllable processes connect local and global operations at our production sites, generating positive synergies for the market.”
The newly formed management team is committed to continuing the 70-year success story of the business division and leading it into a new era with modern corporate culture and organisation. The division employs approximately 1,650 people worldwide, including about 700 at the headquarters in Biberach. The company is present in over 100 countries through numerous subsidiaries, as well as sales and service partners, and is globally connected through strategic partnerships. Handtmann is among the leading manufacturers of line solutions for food processing, ranging from product preparation to the interfaces of downstream process steps, such as thermal processes, packaging solutions, etc., where there are clearly defined interfaces with strategic partners. This enables Handtmann to offer its customers conceptual and comprehensive solutions. The offering is complemented by in-house developed, process-supporting digital solutions. At the same time, the company is investing in sustainable concepts for food innovations.
