Manufacturer of liquid and powdered flavours OC Flavors is happy to announce its acquisition of Novotaste, a Canadian-based provider of natural and organic flavour solutions. With the acquisition, OC Flavors is solidifying its position as a provider of customisable flavour solutions and is expanding its footprint into Canada and Northeastern US to serve the food and beverage industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Novotaste as the second acquired company within our flavor platform, and we view the Novotaste team as an integral piece of our platform strategy moving forward,” said Jim Miller, CEO of OC Flavors. “This acquisition also adds a state-of-the-art customer-facing facility with a test kitchen and sensory lab, providing our combined base of blue-chip customer partners with even more resources to create great-tasting products.”
First founded in 2007, OC Flavors has grown into the flavour of choice for brands, retailers and others within the food and beverage industry’ spanning beverage, dairy, plant-based, confectionery and bakery industries.

In 2022, the company entered into a growth partnership with Shore Partner Capitals, a Chicago-based private equity firm to build upon its heritage and foundation. The acquisition of Novotaste helps with the platform’s development and production capabilities and adds more flavour talent.
