Project D sprinkle festive cheer with Christmas range

Luxury bakers Project D have unveiled a tree-mendous new range of festive doughnuts with two boxes full of Christmas crackers. Project D, which delivers hand-decorated doughnuts to doorsteps from Leeds to Birmingham, has created two boxes of yuletide doughnuts which are selling out fast than ever.

The Naughty List box contains the ‘Run-away Rocher’ a doughnut which is dipped in sweet dark chocolate and topped with golden sprinkles, a rosette of milk chocolate butter cream and a Ferrero Rocher.

The ‘It’s Not Terry’s, It’s Yours!’ doughnut is dipped in milk chocolate, topped with a ring of orange cream and three Terry’s segments with lashings of white chocolate on top.

While the ‘Gravitational Galaxy’ is sure to pull in customers with its white chocolate glaze, salted caramel frosting, chocolate cake and four chunks of Galaxy caramel.

Finally, the ‘Home Alone with my Toblerone’ is a milk chocolate dipped doughnut, rolled in Lotus crumb then drizzled with Lotus spread.

The company’s alterative is the Festive Feast box which includes ‘The 8 O’Clock’ with its white chocolate glaze and two pieces of After 8 nestled on top and the ‘Match Made’ which is topped with   two salted caramel Matchmakers and a Malteser for good measure.

There’s also the ‘Festive Homer’ which is dipped in a white chocolate glaze and covered in Christmas sprinkles while ‘Lead The Way’ is dipped in salted caramel, covered in shortbread and topped with a Malteser reindeer.

Co-owner Max Poynton said: “We love nothing better than getting our heads together and inventing imaginative and tasty toppings for our doughnuts. These are guaranteed to bring a little festive cheer, even in these strange times.

“Although these only went on sale last week we have been surprised by how popular they are already. We reckon they would be the perfect treat to leave out for Father Christmas – if someone doesn’t eat them first.”
