UK-headquartered Prowrap has cemented its position as the hospitality industry’s leading food wrapping partner after it announced a major strategic investment targeted at boosting multiple parts of the business.
The investment of several new rewinders and machinery has boosted capacity and capability to produce its UK-made range of products by 50%. The machines – specifically designed for baking paper and aluminium foils – deliver enhanced manufacturing capability, further enabling Prowrap to develop bespoke products that meet every customer need.
“We never stop looking for ways to improve and innovate for our customers, whether that’s product, service or environmental performance,” explained Bryony Barlow, Commercial Director at Prowrap. “Our new coreless paper rewinder enables us to eliminate hundreds of tonnes of cardboard from our – and our customers’ – supply chains by removing the need for roll cores on our baking paper. If that wasn’t exciting enough, our new foil lines allow us to quickly adapt to emerging trends by producing different sizes and gauges of foil.”
In addition, the company has added expertise to its ranks, with three key new hires in the commercial team. Scott Andrew joins as Scottish Regional Account Manager, Mil Krila is a new National Account Manager, and the company also welcomes Pete Snook into the role of Business Support Executive.
“Good things come in threes, and that’s certainly proven to be true in this case,” added Bryony. “Our three new faces bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives to our sales team, ensuring we can deliver the sector-leading pre- and post-purchase support that all our customers deserve.”
The investment comes as Prowrap continues to ride on a wave of success following the launch of its new market-first Speedwrap Pro dispensers and compatible cling film, recyclable foil, and compostable baking paper. The dispensers and wraps were launched at the prestigious International Salon Culinaire competition in March and are now proudly manufactured in the UK.
“We continually look for state-of-the-art solutions and top talent that can help us deliver better, more efficient products and service. We’ve enjoyed a great first half of 2024, but we’re confident the best is yet to come for us – and, more importantly, our customers.”
