Puratos Group is proud to announce the grand opening of its cutting-edge margarine production facility in Kragujevac, Serbia. This €7 million investment marks a significant milestone in Puratos’s mission to enhance its product offerings, support local economic development, and champion sustainability.
A Milestone for Innovation and Customer-Centric Solutions
The new facility is designed to meet the growing demands of the bakery and patisserie industries across Serbia and the Western Balkans. Featuring advanced production processes, the factory allows Puratos to offer a broader range of innovative, high-quality products, including strategic Mimetic solutions tailored to industry needs.
Driving Sustainability and Operational Excellence
Equipped with the latest technologies, the new factory embodies Puratos’s commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency. The facility will reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 227 tons and energy consumption by 492 kilowatt-hours—equivalent to the yearly energy use of nearly 100 Serbian households. These measures reflect Puratos’s dedication to environmental stewardship and responsible resource management.
Supporting Local Economic Growth and Community Well-Being
This investment also brings significant benefits to the local community, creating new job opportunities and providing a modern, efficient workplace for employees. By fostering professional growth and improving working conditions, Puratos ensures that the new facility supports both its workforce and the broader community.
