Yorkshire-based Regal Food Products Group has expanded its footprint in the chilled desserts market by acquiring Love Cheesecakes, an artisan cheesecake manufacturer.
Located in Lancaster, Love Cheesecakes creates over 100 varieties of premium cheesecakes, catering to wholesale, foodservice, hospitality sectors, and direct consumer sales via events, festivals, and e-commerce.
CEO Younis Chaudhry of Regal Food Products Group stated, “This acquisition enhances our chilled desserts portfolio, offering customers diverse choices across various ranges and prices.”
Chaudhry also highlighted the potential for new product development, bringing “exciting flavours and combinations to our customers.”
This acquisition follows Regal’s strategic growth in the desserts sector, including Just Desserts Yorkshire in 2022 and Love Handmade Cakes recently.
Love Cheesecakes’ founder, James Asquith, expressed optimism, “Regal’s expertise and resources will elevate our bakery, reaching more customers while maintaining our quality and values.”
