Schubert shows cobots at the CFIA

Packaging manufacturer Gerhard Schubert’s first trade fair appearance in 2023 will be at the Carrefour des Fournisseurs de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire (CFIA) in Rennes. From 14-16 March, visitors to the show will be able to explore the maufacturer’s expertise in food packaging, showcasing flexible, efficient and resource-saving packaging solutions.

This year, the CFIA will be offering companies in the food, confectionery, baked goods and dairy industries a platform for discovering new trends and latest developments. At its stand, members of Schubet will be showing customers, potential customers and visitors its innovations and sustainable packaging solutions, as its Mission Blue Sustainability Initiative spells out the company’s mission to support the food sector towards climate-friendly packaging.

Solutions at the CFIA will focus on practical applications for the food, dairy, baked goods and confectionery industries including automated packaging solutions for tasks such as pick and place, packaging into flowpacks and a cartoning in a wide variety of products and formats.

The Schubert portfolio now includes its new cobot for the flexible and efficient automation of feeding products to machines. The tog 519 picks up lightweight products using pick and place gently and at a high cycle rate. The AI-controlled image processing makes programming virtually redundant for manufacturers and enables new areas of application. The cobot will be available to experience live for the first time in May in interpack 2023 in Dusseldorf.

Visitors to the company stand will have the opportunity to find out how newly developed packaging can makes the entire process more efficient, more resource-saving and more sustainable. Composite materials are increasingly being replaced with recyclable alternatives made of plastic or cardboard.

As well as providing support in selecting suitable material-compatible materials, the company also develops new cardboard packaging for its customers in the packaging process.
