The participation of Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH (WDS) at this year’s iba in Düsseldorf was a complete success. From 18 to 22 May, WDS presented itself as one of the leading suppliers of innovative production solutions for the chocolate industry in Hall 10, Stand H29 – and attracted great interest from trade professionals and international visitors alike.
The WDS exhibition stand was very well attended throughout the entire duration of the trade fair. Numerous interested visitors gathered information on the versatile and forward-looking technologies related to depositing, particularly for the production of chocolate products with baked insertions such as wafers and biscuits. The main focus of interest was on the two high-performance machine models ConfecECO and ConfecPRO, which impressively demonstrated the range and flexibility of WDS technology for complex chocolate products.

Particularly impressive was the presentation of the latest developments in the chocolate sector. WDS showcased innovative solutions for the production of chocolate biscuits and chocolate bars with wafer insertions – a market segment that has seen tremendous growth in recent years. The compact and versatile ConfecECO and the highly flexible ConfecPRO impressed trade fair visitors with their ability to produce complex products with the highest precision.

A special highlight was the presentation of the in-house high-performance insertion systems that WDS has developed in recent years specifically for the processing of baked insertions. This innovative technology makes it possible to precisely insert wafers and biscuits into liquid chocolate while maintaining the highest quality standards. “The investment in this in-house development is now paying off in the form of corresponding demand,” the company reports, pleased with the market response.
The advanced insertion systems enable confectionery manufacturers to achieve consistently high quality even at high production speeds, while offering flexibility in product variants. From classic chocolate biscuits to complex chocolate bars with crispy wafer insertions – WDS technology provides solutions for the entire range of modern chocolate products.

Alongside innovations in the chocolate sector, WDS also received considerable interest in its proven Mogul technology for the production of traditional gummy and jelly products using mould starch.
