Gluten-free, zero-carb bread startup Zero Carb Company has consolidated an alliance with Grupo Bimbo. Zero Carb Company (ZCC), a joint venture of Bakker Wiltink, a third generation bakery and TOP, a developer for the food industry, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with one of the biggest bakery companies, Grupo Bimbo, which operates in more than 34 different countries.
ZCC has spent five years developing a tasty, gluten-free, carbohydrate-free bread range, the company said, high in protein and dietary fibre to offer a healthy option for consumers looking for a gluten-free, reduced carbohydrate or keto diet.
Grupo Bimbo is bringing its advanced research and development capabilities to the partnership as well as its global footprint and distribution network. Thanks to this cooperation, ZCC have said they can continue to explore new distribution frontiers. The partnership also offers new opportunities for further product development for specific geographic markets. Wiltink will be the first licensee for the Benelux countries under the YAM Keto brand.
“ZCC bread aims at reattracting consumers to the bread category, now a tasty gluten-free, zero carb bread is available. I can say with my more than 30 years of experience in the profession that it is the most profound paradigm changing development in the bread category I have seen in years,” commented Roel Orsel, CEO of ZCC.
