Baker & Baker is a leading European bakery supplier, recognised for its excellence in American-style products like doughnuts, muffins, brownies, and cookies 

Serving more than 30 markets across Europe and beyond, including the Middle East and North Africa, the business operates 12 manufacturing sites across six European countries. It employs more than 2,500 people and has grown to achieve an annual turnover in excess of €600m. 

Growing European presence 

Prior to becoming Baker & Baker, the company operated under the CSM brand as CSM Bakery Solutions, which was well-known throughout Europe as a prominent bakery products and ingredients manufacturer. That heritage, knowledge and expertise is retained in the business today, together with a passion for creating high quality, innovative bakery products.   

Focusing on the retail, food service and wholesale channels, Baker & Baker manufactures a wide range of bakery products in the UK, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal. 

A key player in the bakery convenience segment, the company operates four manufacturing sites in the UK. Its head office, based on the Wirral, was previously part of Unilever and has been the home to food manufacturing since the 1930s. It manufactures bake-off cookies, doughnuts and muffins. 

A dedicated gluten-free facility in Ashington, Sussex, manufactures gluten-free cakes, brownies and muffins. 

Baker & Baker’s other UK manufacturing plants are based in Daventry and Bradford. 

Brands and channels 

Baker & Baker has long-standing licensing agreements with Mondelez and Disney, delivering indulgence with well-known global, premium brands, including Milka, Cote D’Or, Oreo, Daim and Cadbury.  

The business also serves customers under a portfolio of trusted trade brands, including Baker & Baker American Bakery, Goldfrost, Concadoro and Molco, and maintains partnerships with major key accounts on private label. 

Dedicated to delighting customers and consumers with inventive products and consistently high levels of service, Baker & Baker offers tailored and convenient solutions for foodservice and retail markets, wholesalers and bakeries for ready to bake and ready to serve products. 

Product portfolio 

Keeping pace with emerging trends, Baker & Baker continues to develop exciting and interesting new flavour combinations, particularly across its popular American Sweet Bakery range of cookies, doughnuts, muffins and brownies, which has evolved to satisfy the growing appetite for the category across Europe.  

The firm’s premium assortment of doughnuts ranges from minis to filled as well as classic doughnuts, and these are packed in practical trays or as single packed solutions for retail offers.  

Own label and branded cookies are available in a variety of formats, flavours and sizes and with novel inclusions to appeal to today’s consumers who seek indulgent treats without compromising on taste or quality.  

Manufacturing a wide range of laminated products, such as croissants and pretzel pastries, Baker & Baker also caters for regional tastes with products like palmiers – a buttery sweet pastry, and Pastel de Nata – a traditional Portuguese pastry, filled with egg custard tart, which has been enjoying strong growth among retail and food service customers in the UK and continental Europe. 

R&D is a key focus for Baker & Baker and the team will continue to shape the market with product innovations that meet the needs of changing consumer tastes and experiences.
