Birds Bakery has announced the re-opening of its outdoor seating areas at a number of its stores, following the latest government guidelines around hospitality venues.
Eight of the bakery’s stores re-opened its outdoor areas yesterday (12 April), which have been spaced out to allow for social distancing measures to remain in place. Birds also requests that its customers continue to wear face masks or coverings when visiting inside its stores.
Lesley Bird, Birds Bakery Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the lifting of some restrictions at a number of our stores. Our outdoor seating areas will be operating again, however indoor seating will remain closed until further guidelines have been released.
“The safety of our staff and customers is paramount and we will be continuing with our rigorous measures. As government guidelines now allow outdoor table service for customers up to six, we have reduced the number of seats outside and spaced them out to allow for social distancing.
“We hope that our customers will come and enjoy a coffee and a cake outside at Birds and for those who are unable to or don’t feel comfortable coming into store, our ring and reserve and home delivery services are open as usual.”
