CSB will showcase digital solutions for manufacturers

The critical role of an effective IT solution in helping food companies navigate current challenges in the sector will be highlighted by CSB-System at IFE 2023, taking place 20-22 March at ExCeL centre in London.

With high costs of raw materials and energy, food manufacturers need now, more than ever, to maximise efficiency and productivity and reduce costs while maintaining freshness, quality and speed to market. At the event, the company will demonstrate how its industry-specific ERP system can deliver these benefits and make these businesses smarter and more resilient.

As part of this effort, visitors to the company’s stand will be able to take a virtual tour of the CSB digitalised factory to learn about best practice processes that have enabled businesses to effectively control and optimise their processes. In addition, the tour gives visitors the opportunity to go anywhere they want inside the factory to see how the system works and witness the potential of digitalisation in factories.

The company’s solutions include the effective flow of data from sales orders through planning to production and packing, supporting automated food production lines in achieving high speeds and efficiencies.

Having availability of a single central database that links all areas of operation is a critical part of Industry 4.0, CSB say, and the Smart Food Factory, which includes live and remote monitoring that supports Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and provides information for in-depth reporting and KPI monitoring.

Using this software provides an enhanced quality management system and effective traceability, meaning food manufacturers can monitor and report back on progress or whereabouts of a product “at the push of a button”.

CSB will also demonstrate its latest initiatives which help companies maximise opportunities for digital growth, supporting the introduction of e-commerce platforms and web shops.

The new CSB-Connect module provides an interface with its customers’ external platforms for the exchange of and access to relevant information for all partners across the supply chain.

The company’s ERP solutions can be tailored to the requirements of businesses of varying sizes and types, including small- and medium-sized enterprises.
