Peter Studer became the new CEO of Burgdorf-based bakery machine manufacturer RONDO on 1 October 2021.
Peter Studer, 53, is a qualified chemical engineer and has a degree in business administration and management. He has many years of experience in the industrial sector and has held various management positions at international enterprises over the last 25 years. His career has taken him from the fields of innovation and market development to overall management as CEO of the Cham Paper Group and Sihl Holding AG. Most recently, he supported and advised various companies and start-ups in the development and implementation of new market strategies.
Aiming to strengthen their market position in the industrial sector
By appointing Peter Studer, who hails from Berne, RONDO is gaining a dynamic, down-to-earth manager and strategist who wants to fully exploit the potential of the Burgdorf-based company. The company intends to focus more on developing customised solutions for customers in the industrial sector in addition to maintaining its well-known strengths such as product quality, process reliability and customer focus in the artisanal sector.
RONDO has always been known for its industry-leading engineering expertise and innovative strength in bakery machinery. The machines and installations used to produce dough bands and process them into dough pieces for a wide variety of baked goods improve both the efficiency of the process and the product quality considerably. In this way, RONDO has established itself as a leading global supplier in the small and medium-sized artisanal business sector.
“However, the outstanding qualities that RONDO machines possess, such as maximum efficiency and product quality, digitalisation and process reliability are also key criteria in industrial production. We can become just as successful in the international industrial sector as we are in the SME sector,” says Peter Studer. The Board of Directors of the RONDO Group appointed Peter Studer as the successor to Felix Egger, who has decided to leave RONDO.
