SRSLY releases meat-free pizza

The month of August has seen bakery brand SRSLY Low Carb broaden its pizza horizons with the anticipated launch of a Mighty Meat Free Feast – a low carb proposition jampacked with three new meat-free toppings.

The three meat-free toppings including Buffalo Chick’n Strips – using a combination of soy protein and spices – Vegeroni – made from the popular meat alternative jackfruit and virtuoso seasoning – and, finally, Chorizo-no Crumble – which features a generous scattering of vegan chorizo crumble, aiming to offer the flavour of traditional chorizo with none of the pork.

Pizzas have become the brand’s hero product in recent years, coupling the company’s low carb bready learnings with a steadfast commitment to not short-change in terms of taste.

“It’s incredible when you think about it,” said Andy Welch, Founder, SRSLY, “That we’ve taken such an indulgent snacking classic and giving it such a meaningful low carb spin.”

SRSLY’s Mighty Meat Free Feast is HFSS compliant and high in beneficial fibre, according to the company, low in sugar and high in protein while remaining free of palm oil. The latest pizza product from SRSLY is less than 20g carbs.

“It’s also worth noting that pizza is very much our range hero when it comes to mushrooming export success, so the presence of a meat-free is very timely with regards extending both our domestic and overseas appeal yet further,” concluded Andy Welch.

The product launch follows the news of the company securing a national supply agreement with UK healthcare service, the NHS, a partnership that began back in February 2023. Of the news, Andy Welch said: “Securing NHS validation was a long, often frustrating process, but at the end of the day my young business’s proudest moment. This is an organisation that is slowly embracing ketogenic teachings (40+ inhouse ketogenic clinicians) so to collaborate with such a respected, like-minded nationwide entity is a real ‘we’re on the right path’ moment.”
