Onwards and upwards for healthy brand SRSLY

Four years ago Andy Welch, Founder and CEO of SRSLY Low Carb embraced his first Iron Man, a cathartic experience to signal the end of a corporate career.

What began as a rigorous fitness regime to recalibrate his life after existing his role turned into a healthy awakening. After this, Andy, working together with a small huddle of artisanal bakeries created a low carb loaf as part of a move to address perceived unhealthiness in bakery produts.

Since then, the SRSLY Low Carb following has grown beyond 200,00; a mix of fine bread aficionados and those working to tackle obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Over the next three years SRSLY has launched 15+ SKUs from jams and condiments to pizzas and ready meals. Most recently, the company launched its meat-free pizza to broaden its pizza portfolio. Prior to that, they launched their answer to a healthy hot dog. In that time period, thousands of five-star product and service reviews have been obtained, a 79% repeat purchase has been secured and premises have had to be moved three times to deal with orders.

Today, discussions with major bricks and mortar retailers are in process, a NHS central contract is in place and a 1st USA order for pizza has been placed. Later this week the next chapter of the SRSLY adventure begins with the Hertfordshire-based business launching its 1st Seeders raise with 615 registered investors onboard.

Last week, SRSLY also secured its 1st Grocer New Product nomination for ‘category hero’.
