British Bakels has expanded its toppings and fillings portfolio with two new ready-to-use Billionaire’s Caramels, created to help bakers deliver premium indulgence, texture and visual appeal across sweet bakery and patisserie.

The new Sea Salted Billionaire’s Caramel and Real Chocolate Billionaire’s Caramel are both made the true caramel way, offering the authentic, buttery richness that sets real caramel apart from imitations. Ambient-stable and ready to use straight from the pail, they can be piped, injected, layered or drizzled – giving bakers a versatile, time-saving solution that performs consistently at scale.

Caramel remains one of the strongest and most enduring flavours in sweet bakery, driven by demand for “affordable indulgence” and “newstalgia” – familiar favourites elevated with premium twists. These new variants meet that demand head-on, delivering deeper flavour, smooth texture and a glossy finish ideal for doughnuts, brownies, traybakes, cookies and patisserie.

Dan Jones, Marketing Manager at British Bakels, said: “Caramel is a multi-sensory ingredient, with its gloss, aroma and mouthfeel elevating everything it touches. Our new Billionaire’s Caramels give bakers authentic flavour with the convenience and reliability they need. Whether for doughnut centres, brownie layers or finishing patisserie, these caramels deliver indulgence every time.”

The new products join Bakels’ True Caramel range, engineered for consistency and bake stability across both high- and low-volume production. With time and labour under pressure across the industry, ready-to-use formats that deliver speed without compromising quality are increasingly valuable to bakers.

The Real Chocolate Billionaire’s Caramel also contains responsibly sourced cocoa, supporting Bakels’ ongoing commitment to sustainable, traceable ingredients.
