At the 2025 International Bakery Readers Awards, Multivac’s Cooling@Packing has been named Packaging Machine of the Year, following strong recognition from readers across the global bakery industry.

The Readers Awards celebrate the technologies and equipment that packaging professionals rely on to protect product quality, improve efficiency and support evolving production demands.

This year’s Packaging Machine of the Year finalists highlighted innovation across bakery packaging and handling. Ulma Packaging’s Arctic Horizontal Flow Wrapper was praised for its high-speed performance and reliable sealing, even when handling delicate baked products, alongside its hygienic design and flexible film-handling capabilities. CAMA Group’s CL169 + FW749 impressed with its integrated cartoning and flow-wrapping configuration, delivering compact, high-speed automation and precise product handling.

Greif-Velox’s BVP earned recognition for its dust-tight bagging performance and robust engineering, supporting accurate and hygienic handling of powders and fine bakery ingredients. Multivac’s Cooling@Packing completed the shortlist with a solution that introduces cooling directly into the packaging process, giving manufacturers tighter control over freshness, texture and shelf-life.

Readers ultimately selected Multivac’s Cooling@Packing as the standout packaging machine of 2025. Praised for its innovative integration of cooling and packaging, the technology helps extend product freshness while maintaining production efficiency. Its ability to enhance shelf-life without compromising throughput positioned it as the year’s leading bakery packaging solution.

The 2025 International Bakery Readers Awards continues to spotlight the packaging innovations shaping the future of bakery production.
