Award-winning food wrapping manufacturer Prowrap has boosted its regional operations with the appointment of Zahid Zareen as Regional Account Manager for London.

Zahid will support Prowrap’s continued expansion around the country, helping to support existing customers while also proactively pursuing and developing new opportunities for the business across the vibrant London market.

The East Londoner brings substantial experience of the food and beverage markets, having excelled in similar roles at soft drink manufacturer Britvic and baked goods brand Delice de France. He joins Prowrap’s renowned customer service team at an exciting time of growth for the company, which is building promising new partnerships across the whole of the UK.

“I was interested in Prowrap from the start, so settling in has been easy,” said Zahid following his appointment. “Prowrap deals with foodservice accounts and massive distributors and wholesalers, and my career roadmap was that I wanted to be managing key accounts in that area. I have the retail experience, but I also had an aspiration to move into wholesale foodservice.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the wholesalers and learning how they operate,” he added.

Jon Crowley, CEO at Prowrap added, “We’re delighted to welcome Zahid aboard. He’s an independent and proactive character who brings a wealth of experience and commercial skills to our business. The creation of this new role highlights our commitment to our customers in all areas of the UK. We understand that London is a particularly fast-paced market with its own unique challenges, so we want to ensure we can be flexible and agile in response to those challenges in order to provide the best possible service for our customers.

“It’s an exciting time for Prowrap, but this is just the latest step on our journey. We’re looking forward to seeing what new opportunities Zahid can create, and the value his support can add to our London-based customers.”
