Walkers Shortbread are pleased to announce the appointment of Bryony Walker as their new Commercial Director, joining the Company’s Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Since joining in 2013, Bryony has held several roles, most recently Head of Commercial Strategy since January 2022. As a fourth-generation member of the Walker’s family, Bryony continues the legacy of family leadership. Her great-grandfather, Joseph Walker, founded the Company and her father, the late Sir Jim Walker, served as joint Managing Director.

Bryony succeeds Steve McCarney, who will move into a part-time role while remaining a Director. Walker’s Shortbread would like to thank Steve for his invaluable contribution over the past seven years, which has been instrumental in the brand relaunch and growth.

Nicky Walker, Managing Director of Walker’s Shortbread, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bryony onto the Board and into the role of Commercial Director. Bryony brings a deep understanding of our family dynamic, our customers, the Walker’s brand and the challenges involved in the role. We are also delighted Steve will continue to be an active member of the Board, as well as continuing to support Bryony.”

Walker’s has also announced the conclusion of Bob Brannan’s tenure as Chairman at their recent AGM. A huge thank you to Bob for his leadership during a time of significant change!
