Cibus Tec 2026 is strengthening its position as one of the world’s leading exhibitions for food processing and packaging technologies, with organisers reporting strong exhibitor demand and growing international participation ahead of the event, which takes place in Parma, Italy, from 27-30 October 2026.

The exhibition is expected to welcome more than 1,300 exhibitors and brands across over 40,000 square metres of exhibition space, while visitor numbers are forecast to exceed 40,000 industry professionals from around the world. International participation remains a key focus, with overseas exhibitors expected to account for more than 30% of the event’s total presence.

Bakery? Yes, we tec!

For the bakery sector, one of the most significant developments is the introduction of “Bakery? Yes, we tec!”, a new thematic area dedicated entirely to technologies and solutions for baked goods production. The special feature will showcase innovations spanning the entire manufacturing process, from ingredient handling and dough processing through to packaging and end-of-line operations.

The initiative reflects the increasing importance of automation, efficiency and digital transformation within industrial baking. As manufacturers face ongoing challenges related to labour availability, sustainability requirements and production costs, technology providers continue to develop solutions that improve productivity while maintaining product quality.

Innovation will be a central theme throughout the exhibition. Cibus Tec 2026 will feature a comprehensive programme of conferences, demonstrations and networking opportunities designed to connect technology suppliers, manufacturers, researchers and industry professionals.

Among the highlights is the Demo Factory, where visitors will be able to observe highly automated production lines operating in real time. These live demonstrations are expected to provide valuable insight into how advanced manufacturing technologies can be implemented across food production environments, including bakery facilities.

Food 5.0: From AI to Automation, for Safe and Competitive Production

Artificial intelligence and digitalisation will also take centre stage during the event. On 30 October, SPS Italia will organise the conference “Food 5.0: From AI to Automation, for Safe and Competitive Production.” The event will examine how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, process automation, data management and digital production systems are helping manufacturers improve competitiveness, food safety and sustainability.

The broader exhibition will explore a range of trends shaping the future of food manufacturing, including automation, sustainability, food safety and process optimisation. While covering multiple food sectors, these themes have particular relevance for bakery producers seeking to enhance operational efficiency and meet evolving consumer and regulatory expectations.

Cibus Tec’s organisers emphasise that the exhibition serves as a platform for technology transfer and innovation across the food and beverage industry. For bakery professionals, the addition of a dedicated bakery technology area alongside a strong focus on advanced manufacturing solutions positions the 2026 edition as an important opportunity to discover new equipment, production techniques and digital technologies that could shape the future of industrial baking.

With registrations already ahead of the previous edition, Cibus Tec 2026 is set to provide a major international showcase for the technologies driving the next generation of bakery production.
