At the 2025 International Bakery & Confectionery Awards, BY Foods’ Nata Pura has been crowned Product of the Year – a decision that reflects the judges’ recognition of its technical excellence, global reach and authentic craftsmanship.

The awards honour standout achievements across the international bakery and confectionery sectors, spotlighting the companies, individuals and innovations that are shaping the future of quality, creativity and commercial success.

Nata Pura was praised for solving a long-standing challenge in premium pastry distribution: how to capture the freshness and character of a traditional Pastel de Nata while enabling consistent, scalable, global supply. Produced using time-honoured baking methods and offered in a frozen format, Nata Pura allows bakeries and foodservice operators worldwide to deliver bakery-fresh crispness, creaminess and flavour without compromise.

With distribution now spanning 37 countries, the product demonstrates how a carefully engineered process can bring an iconic Portuguese pastry to new markets – without losing the qualities that made it special in the first place.

Alongside BY Foods, this year’s finalists showcased impressive diversity and innovation across the bakery landscape, including Baker & Baker’s Cadbury Mini-Eggs Chocolate Cookies and Machela’s Chleb Baltonowski, both applauded for their creativity and technical strength.

With its win, Nata Pura joins the ranks of products proving that progress in bakery doesn’t always demand reinventing tradition – sometimes, it’s about refining it and making it accessible to the world.

The 2025 International Bakery & Confectionery Awards continues to spotlight the ideas, craftsmanship and leadership pushing the industry forward.
