International Bakery Magazine has announced the finalists and winners of the International Bakery Judges and Readers Awards 2025!
This year’s competition brought forward an outstanding calibre of finalists, showcasing the passion and progress shaping modern baking. We are delighted to honour all those shortlisted, and of course, our exceptional winners.
International Bakery Product of the Year
This year’s finalists offered some truly standout bakery creations, from globally inspired pastries to indulgent cookies and artisan breads. After careful deliberation, the judges selected BY Foods’ Nata Pura as the 2025 winner, praising its remarkable ability to deliver authentic Pastel de Nata quality to 37 countries through a frozen format that preserves flavour, texture, and craftsmanship.
International Bakery Sustainability Project of the Year
Sustainability continues to be a driving force in the bakery industry, and 2025’s finalists demonstrated meaningful progress in carbon reduction, biodiversity, and supply chain transformation. The judges awarded Linwood Raker the top honour for its Sustainability Leadership in Baking Paper Supply, applauding its circularity, measurable impact, and potential as a global model.
International Bakery Innovation of the Year
This category highlighted cutting-edge solutions across equipment, ingredients, and next-generation process technologies. Lallemand Baking’s Do-Bake True took home the Innovation of the Year award for its pioneering clean-label functionality, enabling bakers to deliver high-fibre, wholegrain products without compromising taste or performance.
International Bakery Woman of the Year
Our four finalists reflected incredible expertise, leadership, and influence across global baking. The judges named Linda Niklasson of Bimbo QSR the 2025 Woman of the Year, recognising her exceptional leadership in global food safety across 63 bakeries and her unique blend of technical excellence, compassion, and strategic vision.
International Bakery Company of the Year
This year’s finalists – from longstanding industry leaders to innovative technology providers – demonstrated resilience, excellence, and continuous improvement. Lesaffre was named Company of the Year for its sustained commitment to innovation and its longstanding influence on the baking world.
International Bakery Machine of the Year – Readers’ Category
From next-generation ovens to precision milling and high-performance sheeting, this year’s machines demonstrated the best of bakery engineering. After thousands of reader votes, Fritsch’s PROGRESSA Pastry was crowned Bakery Machine of the Year, standing out for its modular design, efficiency, and premium pastry capabilities.
International Bakery Ingredient of the Year – Readers’ Category
A diverse array of ingredient innovations competed for this reader-voted award, highlighting breakthrough developments in plant-based functionality, colour, texturising, and traditional fermentation. The winner, Lesaffre’s Tradizzy Panettone, impressed for bringing artisanal Italian fermentation quality to industrial-scale production.
International Bakery Packaging Machine of the Year – Readers’ Category
In a year where packaging technology continues to evolve rapidly, readers selected Multivac’s Cooling@Packing as the Packaging Machine of the Year for its ability to cool products during packing, helping bakers preserve freshness, improve efficiency, and extend shelf life.
