Ishida debuts new multihead weighers at Gulfood

The launch of a new range of multihead weighers from Ishida will be on display at Gulfood Manufacturing this year, in Dubai. The company reports that the new range, its 11th generation multihead weigher, will deliver high levels of speed and accuracy, for the handling of more challenging products.

The exhibition will also have on show the company’s latest developments in weighing, packing and quality control solutions. It will demonstrate how its equipment can help packing lines to become more efficient, increase yields, throughput and energy-efficiency while meeting quality standards.

this includes the only single source fully integrated snacks packing system, a multihead weigher, and two X-ray inspection systems from its quality control portfolio.

The Inspira iTPS combines the company’s RV multihead weigher with its Inspira rotary bagmaker. THe system is able to process up to 200 bags per minute for extruded snacks and up to 150bpm for crisps. The bagmaker can handle a variety of films including standard, metallised, recyclable and biodegradable, as well as gusseted and block bottom bags.

The Inspira comes equipped with the company’s iTPS software which allows for integration with other Ishida weighing and inspection systems. It is being exhibited with an integrated Ishida TSC sealtester and force balance checkweigher to offer a solution for leak detection, fill level monitoring and pack weight control. The TSC sealtester is specified with AAF feedback software that automatically monitors and adjusts the pack inflation level on the bagmaker.

The two X-ray inspection systems offer manufacturers quality control and food safety solutions. The IX-G2-F Dual Energy, for example, can detect low-density wish, rib and fan bones in unpacked chicken fillets and carry out detection in uneven and overlapping products, reducing product waste by minimising false detection.

Both X-ray systems come with a comprehensive service package.
