Anritsu Infivis Ltd, a leader in advanced inspection technology, is set to join forces with its UK partner, Omori UK Ltd, at the upcoming PPMA Show from September 24-26 at the NEC in Birmingham. Together, they will exhibit a range of innovative detection solutions aimed at enhancing safety and efficiency in the packaging industry.
Taking center stage at the Omori stand will be Anritsu’s XR75 series X-ray system, but this year’s highlight is the Long Life Model. Building on the exceptional detection performance of the XR75, the Long Life Model is designed to offer manufacturers the lowest total cost of ownership. This is achieved through an advanced X-ray generator and sensor combination that significantly extends the equipment’s lifespan.
With its low-output X-ray generator paired with an innovative sensor, the machine reduces heat output, effectively eliminating the need for a cooling system. This makes the model especially well-suited for industries such as dairy, meat, poultry, bakery, confectionery, and pharmaceuticals. In addition to identifying metal contaminants, the XR75 Long Life Model can detect shape defects and missing or broken products, ensuring enhanced product integrity.
In addition to the Anritsu XR75 Long Life Model, visitors will also be able to explore Omori’s own line of packaging, processing, and weighing solutions tailored for the food, pet food, and pharmaceutical industries.
Chris Keenan, Sales Director at Omori UK, commented, “Our extensive range of equipment is designed to help businesses optimize their packaging and processing operations in both cost-effective and environmentally friendly ways. The Anritsu XR75 Long Life Model perfectly aligns with our vision, offering significant value to our customers.”
Michael Stuart, European Sales Director at Anritsu, added, “We’re thrilled to partner with Omori at this year’s PPMA Show to demonstrate how our technology can deliver real benefits to UK manufacturers. Contaminants can be incredibly small, requiring inspection systems with the highest possible sensitivity. At the same time, rising operational costs are squeezing manufacturers’ profits. The XR75 Long Life Model addresses both challenges, delivering 30% savings in running costs, making it a true game-changer for the packaging and processing industries.”
This year’s PPMA Show promises to be a key event for businesses looking to stay ahead in the packaging and processing sectors, and Anritsu and Omori are set to showcase technology that meets the needs of a rapidly evolving market.
