GEA Bakery offers engineering precision, driving Innovation and helping manufacturers achieve greater flexibility, consistency and efficiency across modern bakery production.

GEA Bakery will be at Pack Expo International 2026 at booth S-3668, where visitors can meet GEA experts and discover how advanced engineering, processing and baking technologies can help manufacturers improve efficiency, flexibility, product quality and sustainability.

As part of GEA Group, one of the world’s leading systems suppliers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors, GEA Bakery is a global technology partner for the evolving bakery industry. Its expertise spans a broad range of applications, from hard dough biscuits and crackers to soft dough biscuits, cakes and pies, supporting manufacturers in responding to changing consumer demands while maintaining consistent quality and operational efficiency.

Precision depositing for flexible production

A key example of GEA Bakery’s approach to innovation is the GEA Bake Depositor 2LC, a compact lobe depositor designed for high-precision handling of soft doughs and semi-liquid batters. Developed for small to medium-sized producers, the 2LC combines flexibility, precision and consistent product quality in a compact footprint.

The 2LC enables manufacturers to produce a wide range of soft-dough cookies, including deposited, wire-cut, soft-centre and co-extruded products, as well as bicoloured varieties. Accurate portioning supports clean and consistent depositing, while fast changeovers enable efficient switching between products, helping reduce downtime and increase production flexibility.

Despite its compact design, the 2LC can achieve up to 50 strokes per minute for deposited products and 100 cuts per minute for wire-cut applications. It can operate as a standalone solution or be integrated into tray lines, allowing manufacturers to adapt the technology to their specific production requirements. Designed with hygiene, reliability and ease of operation in mind, the 2LC features a stainless-steel structure, direct-drive technology and an intuitive HMI for efficient process control and low-maintenance operation.

Supporting consistent cake production

GEA’s depositing expertise also extends to the cakes segment, where accurate portioning and consistent depositing are essential to product quality and efficient production. The GEA Bake Depositor MO is a high-precision industrial depositing system designed for muffins, cakes and cupcakes, combining reliable performance, flexibility and hygienic design.

The MO can be integrated into both new and existing production lines and is available in single-head and dual-head configurations, enabling manufacturers to adapt capacity and performance to their production needs. Its stainless-steel construction, hygienic design and CIP capability support efficient cleaning and maintenance, while an optimised pneumatic system can reduce energy consumption by up to 16% compared with previous-generation technology.

Together, the 2LC and MO demonstrate GEA Bakery’s ability to address different depositing applications with technologies designed around precision, flexibility and efficiency.

Visit GEA at Pack Expo International 2026, booth S-3668, to meet its experts and explore how GEA Bakery’s technology and engineering expertise can support the next generation of bakery production.
