MECATHERM, a global designer and manufacturer of equipment and automated production lines for bakery, viennoiserie, pastry, and prepared food products, announces the appointment of David DESTATTE as Sales Director for MECATHERM in North America and for ABI at a global level and the appointment of Thomas DUSAUSSOY as Development Manager in North America.

Based in Toronto, David DESTATTE will lead the Sales organisation, drawing on the combined strengths and complementary expertise of MECATHERM and ABI. In his new role, he will oversee all North American sales activities for MECATHERM, while also taking on responsibility for global sales operations for ABI. He takes over from Franck ELLENBOGEN, who, after ten years of driving North American sales growth, has been named Sales Director for Eastern Europe.

This appointment reaffirms MECATHERM’s commitment to pursuing its development strategy, based on operational excellence and outstanding customer relationships in the dynamic North American market.

David will work closely with Thomas DUSAUSSOY, that has been appointed Business Development Manager and came to reinforce the sales team. His combined experience as a Sales Manager and trained Baker will be key in strengthening MECATHERM’s & ABI’s footprint across North America. His deep understanding of production processes and market trends will also support MECATHERM’s accelerated push into the prepared foods segment, ensuring our solutions meet evolving industry needs.

David DESTATTE’s Background

David brings more than 20 years of expertise in packaging, conveyor systems, and engineered automation solutions. He has successfully led sales teams across North America, delivering strong revenue growth and building longterm strategic partnerships with key customers and industry stakeholders. David has consistently expanded market opportunities and driven impactful business development initiatives-experience that will be instrumental in supporting our continued growth.

Thomas DUSAUSSOY’s Background

Thomas DUSAUSSOY brings close to two decades of international commercial experience in the baking and food equipment industry. After holding sales leadership roles across Europe and Asia Pacific, he expanded his expertise as an entrepreneur by founding and leading his bakery in Ontario for nearly seven years, where he gained hands on insight into bakery operations and customer needs.
