Bakery equipment manufacturer MIWE America, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of service to retail, wholesale, in-store, and other commercial bakers in the United States. A subsidiary of MIWE Michael Wenz GmbH, Arnstein, Germany, MIWE America offers a complete range of fully automated bakery production systems, loading systems, proofer-retarders, and other refrigeration technologies, all engineered with advanced technology for energy-efficiency, ease of operation, safety, and reliable, premium performance.

In the 25 years since MIWE established an American presence from its New Jersey headquarters, the company has recorded consistent growth while both weathering and capitalizing on a series of consumer behavior trends, according to Rene Meira Medina, president of MIWE America. “The bakery industry has faced a number of challenges over the years from the low-carb fad diets and the Covid disruption to the latest food pyramid,” says Medina. “Yet the rise of artisan breads, the appeal of cake and cupcake artistry, and the sourdough movement show consumer demand for high quality baked goods remains strong, the future looks bright, and that bakers remain resilient across America.”

During the 25 years of service in America, MIWE America has installed hundreds of ovens in many of the country’s leading bakeries throughout the country. The company recently relocated its USA headquarters to a new facility in Middlesex, New Jersey.
