MULTIVAC takes over bago-line

As of the 30 April 2023 MULTIVAC will be taking over the activities and employees in bago-line with a head office in Svendborg, Denmark, as well as the dsitribution of Sveba Dahlen and Glimek products in Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland. The existing line of bago-line bakery machines as well as service, installation and interior layout tasks are transferred to MULTIVAC too.

At the same time, MULTIVAC’s service and spare part departments are increased to cover all existing bago-line and FRITSCH/MULTIVAC bakery customers, serviced from bago-line’s existing office in Svendborg.

“We look very much forward to welcome the competent employees at bago-line to MULTIVAC. We also look forward to the future cooperation with the numerous bakeries,” explained Martin Petersen, Managing Director of MULTIVAC. “To whom bago-line has delivered bakery machines and service since 1969. Hereby, we extend our bakery product programme significantly by means of well-established bakery ovens and machines to our existing and new bakery customers.”

“Due to my wish to ensure a generational handover in time, I have for a longer time considered to find an appropriate and strong company to carry on and develop bago-line,” said Jakob Lassen, majority shareholder and Managing Director of bago-line. “Therefore, I am very pleased to be able to announce that MULTIVAC takes over bago-line’s activities and employees as per April 30 2023.”

The bakery segment is moving in a direction where consolidation and unification of the core competences are necessary to a greater extent than just 10 years ago. The takeover marks a crucial step in the history of bago-line and ensures that the many customers will still experience a high quality and service.
