SRSLY secures national supply agreement

With plans beginning back in February, SRSLY Low Carb can now announce brokering a national supply agreement with NHS, the national health service in the UK, marking a pivotal change for the UK ketogenic space.

The agreement began back in 2020 when SRSLY aligned itself with the Daisy Garland Trust, an epilepsy-oriented trust supporting individuals who are resistent to over-the-counter drugs. In September 2020, SRSLY’s Founder Andy Welch was approached by the Birmingham’s Children hospital who were looking for a credible, ‘one stop’ low carb provider.

Andy has been open about the fact that a lion’s share of his consumer base (80%) first came to his company in order to tackle underlying obesity issues, while 50% embrace the brand to reverse Type 2 Diabetes, according to SRSLY.

Working with Birmingham Children’s Hospital oversaw a package of generous price discounts and educational support which led in November 2023 to the Manchester Hospital Trust joining in.

The recently installed National Supply application with the NHS means SRSLY is now tendering for and supplying the whole of NHS UK with its range of low carb goods.

‘Securing NHS validation was a long, often frustrating process, but at the end of the day my young business’s proudest moment,” commented Andy Welch, Founder, SRSLY Low Carb. “This is an organisation that is slowly embracing ketogenic teachings (40+ inhouse ketogenic clinicians) so to collaborate with such a respected, like-minded nationwide entity is a real ‘we’re on the right path’ moment.”
