Steve, who has dedicated many years to his role at the Federation, is also retiring from Fine Lady Bakeries Limited after a long period of committed service. He has served as Treasurer of the Federation of Bakers for eight years (2017–2025), providing stability, oversight and financial leadership during a time of major change for the UK bakery industry.

A spokesperson from the Federation of Bakers explained:

“Steve has been a highly valued member of the FoB Executive Committee, providing clear financial leadership, industry insight and consistent support through a period of significant change for the bakery sector. We extend our sincere thanks for his contribution and wish him the very best for the future.”

About the Federation of Bakers

The Federation of Bakers (FoB) is the leading trade association representing the UK’s largest plant bakery companies. Its members operate 31 bakeries across the country and produce the majority of the nation’s sliced and wrapped bread, morning goods and bakery products. The plant bakery sector supplies millions of bakery items every day and contributes to a retail market worth approximately £5.7 billion annually.

The FoB provides technical guidance, represents the industry to government and regulators, supports health, safety and sustainability initiatives, and promotes the importance of bread and bakery goods as part of a balanced diet.
