UK-based food technology firm Point74, which provides software solutions to food manufacturers, has appointed Rob Sinclair as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking the next phase of the company’s growth strategy. The Bourne-based business supports food and drink manufacturers through its Food Lifecycle Management (FLM) platform, which digitises product development and transforms how products are designed, managed and launched globally.

Rob brings more than 20 years’ experience leading and scaling technology-led businesses, with a strong background in operational leadership, international growth and enterprise software. He joins Point74 from Altia, where he served as CEO from 2020, having previously held senior operational leadership roles within the organisation. During his tenure, Rob led the business through a period of sustained growth, overseeing global operations and aligning long-term strategy with execution.

His leadership was recognised in 2024 when he was named one of the UK’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders by LDC, in partnership with The Times. At Point74, he will focus on scaling the company’s platform and supporting food manufacturers as they navigate increasing complexity across product development, regulatory compliance and sustainability.

Point74’s FLM platform is designed to support food businesses across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through to global launch. The technology enables manufacturers to manage product data more effectively, streamline development processes and respond more efficiently to changing regulatory and market demands.

Rob joins the company following a successful foundation year in 2025, during which Point74 strengthened its platform and operations alongside private equity backer FPE Capital LLP. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the business looks to accelerate growth and expand its reach across the food manufacturing sector.

A pivotal stage for growth

Commenting on his appointment, Rob said: “I’m excited to be joining Point74 at such a pivotal stage in its growth. The business has built a market-leading platform that genuinely supports the people behind the products, helping food teams navigate increasing complexity across development, compliance and sustainability. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on this strong foundation and scale the business.”

Mark Wood, Commercial Director at Point74, added: “Point74 has a highly differentiated product and a strong customer base across the food industry. As we look to standardise and scale our offering, Rob’s track record of leading and growing software businesses makes him exceptionally well suited to lead the company through its next phase of growth.”

Point74’s investment partnership with FPE Capital has positioned the business for continued growth and innovation, with Rob’s appointment underlining its ambition to further scale the platform throughout 2026 and beyond, supporting food manufacturers operating in an increasingly complex and regulated market.
