What to expect from PACK EXPO

PACK EXPO International has returned this year to be held at McCormick Place, Chicago, on 23 -26 October. This year’s show will be offering attendees more features than ever and the opportunity to experience a range of innovations in a four-day period.

“There has been so much innovation in our industry since this show’s last in person instalment in 2018 that end users can’t afford to miss this opportunity to see the latest breakthroughs live, in-action,” said Jim Pittas, President and CEO of PMMI. “No other show in the world this year will offer what PACK EXPO International offers. We can’t wait to return to Chicago to debut our brand-new show features, reinstate show favourites, and continue to drive the industry forward.”

Over 2000 exhibitors will be displaying the latest technology for over 40 markets, as well as offering over 100 free educational sessions on the show floor.

“It is vital for the packaging and processing industries to come together and share innovations, connect with colleagues, hear from experts, and see machinery in action. PACK EXPO International 2022 is the most efficient and effective way to do it all,” Mr Pittas added.

New features on offer to attendees include the interactive PACK to the Future Exhibit, which celebrates the role of packaging and processing throughout history and the impact it is due to have on our future. PACK Match will provide attendees with complimentary, personalised, one-on-one guidance with PACK Match advisors to connect them with the right suppliers.

One-day Emerging Brands Summit will be debuting at the show this year and will feature educational content, tabletop exhibits and expert advisors. This new program is aimed at founders and leaders of start-up manufacturing companies looking to scale their brand to larger production, either through in-house facility or outsourced relationships with contract manufacturers and packagers. Other features of note include the PACK Challenge, a machine building challenging, The Processing Zone focusing on latest breakthroughs in processing and the new Industry Speaks Stage featuring expert sessions from the PACK Expo Partner Program.

The stage will have expert sessions presented by PACK Expo Partner Associations who will be addressing latest ‘hot button topics’ and industry trends.

“We are thrilled with the positive response to the Association Partner Program and newly launched Industry Meets Program at PACK EXPO International,” commented Laura Thompson, Vice President of trade shows, PMMI. “PACK EXPO International is making a triumphant return to Chicago after four years away, and it is only possible with the strong support of these prestigious associations.”

The Association Partner Program is returning to the show this year, as it connects attendees to leading associations representing all segments of the packaging and processing industry. This year’s program will be the largest in show history. 11 Association Partner Plus participants will hold events and meetings in conjunction with PACK Expo to allow for a more comprehensive offering to the full supply chain.
