Gluten-free chapati flour

Morrisons is due to launch Eurostar Commodities Gluten Free Chapati Flour in stores as part of its Diwali celebrations. The flour will go on sale from 19 September in the medium brown variety in 1.5kg bags. The product is produced in Eurostar’s clean label factory in Yorkshire.

Eurostar’s technical development team provide specialist flours for different kinds of baking and cooking. The flour is already widely available across the UK in independent supermarkets and wholesalers. Chapati flour can be used in a variety of recipes and has been developed with enhanced texture to produce good results.

“We are delighted that Morrisons is partnering with us as our first mainstream national retailer. Morrison values are to provide their customers with the foods that they need to cook and eat whatever they want,” said Jason Bull, Director of Eurostar Commodities. “It has been a real journey to work with new ingredients to create the perfect recipes that we believe we have achieved. This is what drives us on – improving quality and moving quality to the next level.”

The flour produces a workable dough to make high quality, tasty chapati, with softness and flexibility. The product is 100% gluten and allergen free, packed in a gluten and allergen-free environment. In addition to the flour, Eurostar also produces Italian pizza flours – Pizza Italiana, Pizza Verace and Pizza Dorata – gluten free flour, canned tomatoes & pizza ready sauce and its dried pasta range.
